My connection to my Latina-ness, my generation, my family, all influence how I create. I love to work in several different medians and to move from one method to another. It keeps me feeling spontaneous and keeps the ideas coming!
You too Cyndi. I was just thinking how happy I was that it was the end of the week. Nothing special planned for the weekend but just ready to put this week behind me. Have a great weekend!

Good morning mujer, How are you today? I couldnt email you, i think its because my computer at work has all kinds of blocks on it. so please email me at artexola@yahoo.com, its easier that way. I am happy that I am actually meeting new artistas. When we do shows like solos mujeres, we dont really get to talk and meet, there is always so much going on. I wanted to know if you could meet for coffe next friday.I am not sure if you work on that day. It is my free day. I am working on a project. I am interviewing women/artistas. I call this project "The lipstick chronicles" The idea starts with the color of lipstick, and really our experience with color ingeneral. Questions like when you first noticed color, your first experienc with color, etc. Color is so woven into our spiritual process. If you would like, please visit my other sites, for photos, www.flickr.com/photos/artexola and for blogs www.artexola.blogspot.com So I am intrested in knowing what projects you are wokring on right now. In may we went on vacation to mexico city, and there was a small town we visitied, where i became so inspired to do this piece i am working on. so with the interview, it will go on my blog site, gracis for considering this. talk you soon. billie
Thanks Olga. I've been going to New Orleans since 1988. I fell in love with the city then and have never gotten tired of it! Its like I have a second husband!! Since Katrina, I've been going every year. I like to spend my pennies there because the economy is so dependent on tourism. Since Katrina, I've gone every year. Its a beautiful city with a rich history, incredible music, architecture, food.... If you ever have a chance, you should go. You can party up a storm there too but these days, it takes me too long to recover!!! I like to see the daylight!
Hola Martha,
Thank you for adding me as a friend. Yes, our paths have crossed. We were both in a Solos Mujueres show at Mission Cultural. I remember your platform shoes. I am glad that you want to meet for coffee. Let's make a date soon.
Hi Martha. Thanks for adding me as a friend. I still don't know how to accept requests, so I just sent you a friend request back. N E way. Hope you have a great Monday. I looked at your art work and it is fabulous. You have inspired me to work on some projects later today. Stay in touch.

ps I took a Spanish immersion course here at the local college, COC, and it was a lot of fun. I learned some Spanish and I also made a lot of friends! It was a 5 day course and some day soon I would like to do it again!
