- I AM
I am the Dream Alchemist. I use the tools of the artist as alchemy to manifest my dreams and I help other women do that through my books, images, storytelling, performances, coaching and other services. I believe that we are all artists and our life is our masterpiece.
THE ARTIST
As an artist, I am a writer, visual artist, and performer. As a visual artist, I do illustrations, computer art, 3D live art installations, arts and crafts, web design and ebook covers. My performances are ceremonies for personal and community transformation where spectators become SpectActors to heal self and others through the experience of art. As a writer I am a poet, novelist, fiction and non-fiction writer. I have published half a dozen books and I am the CEO of ShamansDance Books.
THE SHAMAN
I am also a Woman of Power, or shaman and Wise Woman. I carry the Medicines of the Female Face of Power. I have created several life-enhancing systems based on Female Wisdom principles. I use the Female Way of Knowing to help women empower themselves and bring balance to their lives and to humanity. The manner in which I do this is through my public teachings, private consultations, life coaching and book writing coaching, as well as through my art performances and speaking presentations.
Wherever I go, I spread light and love, spice and laughter, truth and peace. My art is about life and my life is about art.
FEATURED IN:
I (or my work) have been featured in PBS and BronxNet television and numerous radio stations such as WBAI, WKCR (Columbia University Station), WADO (Spanish Radio), Brooklyn College Radio Station and La Nueva Onda 1190. I have taught creative writing for more than 15 years in the public school system and to adult women. My visual art has been featured in Longwood Art Gallery (Bronx Council for the Arts), Silver Whale Gallery (Soho), in community, cultural centers and colleges and in the web.
MY INVITATION
I invite you to believe in your dream and to champion your art. Art is the Medicine to war, depression and meaninglessness, three of our modern enemies. Art is a tool of power. It transforms energy and perception, and therefore, it transforms the world. Our society devalues art on one hand, but uses its language for marketing manipulation on the other. Therefore, when we offer life-affirming art and model the power of self-expression, we are empowering our people and enlightening the frequency level of human consciousness. We are agents of evolution.
