Submitting to upstreet
We invite you to submit your poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction (including prose poems) for the sixth issue of upstreet.
* The submission period for upstreet number six is from September 1, 2009, to March 1, 2010. The Submission Manager will take work only within that time period.

* Please read these guidelines carefully. If they are not followed, your submission will not be considered.
* We no longer take submissions by e-mail or surface mail, but only through the upstreet Submission Manager, an online system that will be found here.
* The submission period for upstreet number six is from September 1, 2009, to March 1, 2010. The Submission Manager will take work only within that time period.
* The author’s name and contact information should not appear anywhere on the manuscript.
* The Submission Manager provides a form to enter the author’s name, address, phone number, e-mail, a brief bio, and other information of the submitter’s choosing.
* Please do not submit previously published works, or more than three poems, two fiction, and two nonfiction pieces (including prose poems) per issue.
* Fiction and nonfiction pieces must be 5,000 words or less.
* Each poem should be single spaced, and contained in a separate file. Please note that prose poems should be submitted as creative nonfiction, not as poetry.
* Notification will be made via e-mail, by May 2010.
We expect the sixth issue of upstreet to appear in early July of 2010. Each author will receive a complimentary copy, and will be able to purchase more copies at a special author rate.
