Profile Information

About Me:
Natalia Anciso is a Chicana-Tejana visual artist and educator. Anciso's pieces are influenced by her experience as a fourth generation Chicana growing up along the South Texas/Mexico border. Born in Mercedes and raised in Weslaco, hardscrabble towns in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, she received her BA in Studio Art from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008. Anciso recently earned her Master of Fine Arts from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco in 2011. She lives and works in East Oakland and is currently the Art Director of the Mission Clubhouse for the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco.
