Profile Information

About Me:: Visual Artist raised in East Los Angeles that works in Creative Marketing. Involved in a work related accident in 2000 which kept me grounded at home. I became highly involved in The Art of Photography. In Therapy I became attached to my camera, I shot everything from Scenery to Friends, Animals, Portraits etc. I was also offered the opportunity to attend school and in 2002 received my Certification as a Graphic Artist.

In late 2002 I was hired to work for the President of TELACU a Latino Non Profit Organization, where I worked as a Community Liason. Attending and Organizing several events I became familiar with the artwork of Rufino Tamayo. Whom I greatly admire, among the likes of Salvador Dali, Frida, and Lark Calderon (You can find here in here).

I am not afraid to take risk, I will shoot anyhwere I can! If I have to climb a water tower, crawl under a fence or stand on a roof. My heart is in every Photo I take. I am happy to be alive and hope that I can take you away to a place that you can find peace in my photos.

I am married with two boys, Live in West Covina, California and continue to be involved in The Arts as well as plan to perform one day with the Whittier Center Theater.

I have been so busy too, not much time to visit the network here. Our weather has been shaping up nicely here in New England... I recently visited an art show in New Hampshire and they had daffodils up and magnolia trees just starting to bloom. So pretty, the only problem is that spring comes so fast!!! I try to get outside everyday to appreciate the little buds and tiny plants trying to break through the ground. Hope you are having nice weather and taking lots of pictures! :)

I love to do image transfers, painting over them, creating new backgrounds, texture. Its the most challenging work for me and the most rewarding. I've almost completed 3 new pieces of artwork. I'm working now on a mixed media work of a friend of mine who was unfortunately murdered 13 years ago. I had put her photo away for quite some time. I decided recently it was time to remember her through my artwork. Its been surprisingly difficult to view her image but I still feel that this is the right time to do this work. What is life and the work we do about but facing those challenges?
Other than this work, my sales on Etsy have been WAY SLOW and this economy has been a great, big CHALLENGE!! I'm a full time artist (my husband has the straight job) and it is so difficult to do this!!
