About Me:: My name is Juanita Harris. I'm bi-racial, mixed with Black & Puerto Rican. I am a Poet and Freelance Writer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I've been writing for several years. I began writing poetry in my adolescent years, shortly after my parents were divorced. I consider writing to be my greatest outlet from the harsh realities of life. It is my one and only way of escaping and releasing my soul.

My first published poem was titled, These are the Hands, and appeared in a local community newspaper here in Philadelphia. Currently, I am celebrating the release of my debut poetry collection titled, "RIP-Rejection, Inspiration & Peace."
