You know i joined up but didn't comment right then on how i pampered my muse... i need to actually figure out how when and where it actually started for me. I've been painting for two years now and loving every minute of it. I was in a very negative relationship for 8 yrs. Being medically challenged with health issues my spirit heavy heart-ed. So I used my muse for everybody else in my past, weather it be decorating a store to scrap booking. When I used my muse two yrs ago for only me it made my spirit dance and my heart pumped the colors of the rainbow. I decided to take charge of me and pamper me first my muse well... has been salsa dancing ever since. No longer in the menacing relationship for a year now and yes I have my trails and tribulations like everyone else but my muse and have grown and everlasting relationship, I will always nurture for my muse and I first. My inspiration really comes from being around strong, captivating Latina women who like to help each other grow and produce positive work where as mothers, sisters, tias, & abuelita's are here to teach our children and children children about their muses and how to motivate their inner being. No matter what their craft is they too will have to pamper their muses, and for some it work better in a positive being like me :o). Thank You for letting me share my story. xoxo luv luv

@ Lorena, I love this...yes, our muses do work in mysterious ways with no rhyme or reason...just what works, works...

@ Dana, love how different we are at achieving our creativity and caring for our muses...

This is funny ;-).
I am very well organized when I teach and let my students know they have to be clean but in the other hand, if you go to my home studio where I create my work it is a totally a different picture!
I organized my studio and it looks super but as soon as I am in my creative stage, the mess starts to pile up!
I sometimes do not know how can I create something in such a huge mess but what I think happens to me is that I am so much into my creative moment that cleaning up is just not as important.
I do clean up my studio but for now is a little clutter.

Hola, I definitely need to clean my studio, decluttering helps me bring peace and creativity to all my projects!

YES...at times, I just need to declutter...and it feels soooo good. I need to just take time to chilax and not be running at such a pace, that I have no time or space in my life to be creative...and at times, my creative space shows one too many projects...lol...

ADELANTE!!!

Maria,
Oh yes! This certainly is one of my habits (actually more like a ritual)!!! In the past, I felt like this was one of the biggest downfalls to my productivity. But the older I get, the more I have come to realize this is just part of my being. I actually enjoy tidying up my house, creative space (or the classroom where I teach) prior to a big project. I find it gives me time to think and visualize my direction. The bigger dilemma for me is that I just don’t want to clean up after (not even a little bit), I drop and go!

"Thanks! I like it too, it doesn't seem so horizontal with the distortions breaking it up. I'm having a lot of fun with this, and I have my old printer to thank ;)"

"Actually, I like the distortion. I creates an interesting linear composition to subject matter. A depth that would take alot of planning to paint. Good job..I like it!  "
