Supporting Women and the Arts
Call to Artists at Casa 0101 Theatre founded by writer, Josefina Lopez
"A PRAYER FOR JUAREZ" is a month-long dedication and prayer to the women in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, taking place March, 2010 (the Age of the Feminine), at Casa 0101 in Los Angeles.
NOW CALLING ALL interested Women, Men, Artists, Writers, Poets, Performers, Producers, Lecturers, Activists, Speakers and anybody else who is interested in participating, contributing and making an impact in our Prayer for Juárez.
CASA 0101 will devote the entire month of March 2010 to explore the power of humans, healing, and arts---because when we all come together as a strong, dedicated and committed collective of women and men for one cause, one purpose, and one mission---we can re-create the changes needed in Ciudad Juarez.
Events scheduled will include performance, music, discussion, film, visual art and prayer circles. No one's genuine sincerity to present a means of change will be denied. Come pray just for the sole purpose of casting a light on the city of Juárez and the women there.
While police, guns, armies, militias, governments and money have not made an impact in saving the lives of the women and residents in Juárez, we will acknowledge that the tragedies in there are a spiritual battle. We will make a stand to tackle this war with the biggest army we have behind us….the power of love and prayer.
